This rare species is indigenous to the O’Connor province of Bolivia. It is very similar to Trichocereus pachanoi and Trichocereus bridgesii. The columns grow to 3 to 4 meters and 6” in diameter. The bodies have 4 to 6 ribs and are often spineless, but sometimes bear 3 to 4 small (1 cm) spines.
Blooms with white, fragrant flowers. With age plants can grow shrubby, branching basally with several erect columns. Cold hardy to at least 25 degrees.
