SS01 x Juul's Giant - Trichocereus Hybrid

The father plant was the reknowned Juul’s Giant, a nearly spineless, blue-green Trichocereus pachanoi or Trichocereus peruvianus prized for its exceptional alkaloid content and very rapid growth.

The mother (SS01) was a fast growing Trichocereus species, probably Trichocereus peruvianus or Trichocereus macrogonus, selected for its rich alkaloid profile. Its thick, blue-green stems reach 6” in diameter with 2” spines, and they tend to grow prostrate with maturity. Flowers with huge fragrant white, nightblooms. Cold hardy to at least 25 degrees.
