Indigenous to South Africa, this small clumping succulent is used as an inebriant among the Griquas tribe. The entire plant is dried and pulverized and often added to tobacco mixtures.
Effects have often been described as quite similar to Sceletium. Tolerant of cold down to about 15 degrees. Tolerates high rainfall.
