Mandrake Root Bone Etching
The bequiling power of mandrake root rendered in an exquisite bone carving. The black line scrimwork is etched on rare fossilized wooly mammoth tusk which was buried in a cobalt deposit underneath the permafrost for over 10,000 years. The cobalt radiates an almost irridescent swirl of color.
This is the second piece in a trilogy that we commissioned from modern master scrimshander, Caroline Bertrand.
