Shipping Rates for U.S. Addresses

Shipping charges are not automatically calculated for your order due to the diverse shipping needs of our product line. Our posted shipping rates are estimated. When we process your order, we will charge you based on the weight of your package and your shipping zone using UPS's rate chart or Priority Mail rates. You will not pay more than our posted shipping rates (usually less) unless we notify you beforehand.

LIVE PLANTS

Using the UPS map above (please click on image for larger view), determine if your city falls within a 3 day or less delivery area. If you live outside this 3 day area, leafy plants should ship via UPS 3 Day Select or UPS 2nd Day only. Orders within these states can ship safely via UPS Ground Service. We guarantee the safe arrival of all plants shipped according to these recommendations.

Much to our dismay, UPS has changed the way it bills for Air packages and has increased its rates across the board to all time highs due to increases in gas prices. No longer based strictly on weight, they now bill for the size of the package which they call "dimensional weight". Because our plants are usually generously sized, they fall in this dimensional weight category and are unfortunately costly to ship. Until we come up with an alternative shipping method, UPS is the only reliable means we've found to guarantee that your plants arrive healthy and happy.

Shipping Charges for Leafy Plants

UPS 2nd Day.....up to $29.00 for the 1st plant/ $5.50 each add'l (depending on shipping zone and weight)

UPS 3 Day Select.....up to $23.00 for the 1st plant/ $3.50 each add'l (depending on shipping zone and weight)

UPS Ground Service or USPS Priority....up to $10.50 for the 1st plant/ $1.50 each add'l (depending on shipping zone and weight)

UPS Next Day Air shipping is unnecessary and ridiculously expensive and we won't offer it for live plants unless by special request - rates start at about $60.

Cacti ship via Ground Service only. Because they travel extremely well and considering their bulk, air shipping is both unnecessary and expensive.

Shipping Charges for Cacti

Cacti (shipped via ground service only).... up to $12.50 for the 1st specimen/ $2.00 for each add'l (depending on shipping zone and weight)

Orders to Alaska & Hawaii shipped at add'l cost.

No live plant orders can be shipped outside of the U.S. ...SORRY.

OTHER PRODUCTS

Unless specifically mentioned in the description of the item, shipping rates for Ground shipments are based on merchandise total and shipping method. Priority Mail is less costly on smaller packages, while UPS tends to be better on heavier shipments. We will try to choose the least expensive method for you and lower the charge if we can:

Orders up to $30 are charged $6.50

$31-$50 = up to $9

$51-$70 = up to $10

$71-$100 = up to $11

$101-$130 = up to $12

$131-$160 = up to $13

$161-$200 = up to $14

Orders over $200 = 6% of total

Next Day service - ADD up to $45 to the rates quoted above. Rate will be based on shipping zone and weight of your package.

2nd Day service - ADD up to $20 to the rates quoted above. Rate will be based on shipping zone and weight of your package.

3 Day Select service - ADD up to $15 to the rates quoted above. Rate will be based on shipping zone and weight of your package.

Our cut off time for Next Day orders is around 1:00 PM CST. Orders placed later than 1:00 PM may not go out until the following day. UPS does not pick up or drop off on the weekends, so Next Day orders placed on Friday before 1:00 PM will not arrive until Monday.

Next Day and 2nd Day rates for our heavier products (i.e. books, fertilizer) may exceed the posted rates. If so, we will notify you before shipping.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

While we do not ship live plants outside of the U.S., we can ship most any of our other products to any location on the planet. Please contact us via phone or email for rates.
