Anadenanthera colubrina Seeds

The seeds of the "Anadenanthera" genus have a very ancient history of use in entheogenic snuff preparations made throughout the New World. Evidence dating back to at least 2130 b.c. suggests that the seeds from this leguminous tree were ground, mixed with ash and inhaled through snuff tubes. A. colubrina is used in N. Argentina (where it is known as "huilca" or "cebil"), Paraguay and perhaps Bolivia and Peru. Present day Mataco shamans of Argentina still employ it as a powerful ally. These seeds are from the variety know as "colubrina".
